The “Let’s Fight Flu Together!” Campaign

Let’s Fight Flu Together is an influenza awareness and vaccination campaign designed to urge children, families and members of the community about the risks of and recommendations regarding influenza; and to give them opportunity to get vaccinated against influenza.
PTA is working with Flu Busters, a leading provider of on-site vaccinations, and Novartis Vaccines, to provide convenient access to influenza vaccinations in local communities. Local PTAs are invited to host vaccination clinics on-site at local schools.

9Teachers Who Care Award

The 9Teachers Who Care program recognizes excellent teachers who promote strong academic achievement while showing their students that they care.
Award

One teacher a month, from September through May, will be chosen to receive the award.
The teacher will receive $900 from CollegeInvest, and he or she will be featured on 9NEWS.
Three credit hours to be used for professional development at Metro State College every year as long as winner remains a teacher.

To recognize and honor teachers who exemplify both excellence in teaching and an extraordinary positive impact on students.

Annual McDonald’s Teachers Challenge

Participating McDonald’s restaurants in Northern Colorado* are partnering with the Colorado PTA to host the “McDonald’s Teachers Challenge” during the months of October and November. McDonald’s and the Colorado PTA will give you the opportunity to raise funds for school programs, equipment or any other special projects.
