ERROR ON BACK OF PTA CARDS
     The 2005-2006 PTA membership cards were completely redesigned to update the look and feel to match National PTA’s new website and to highlight the benefits of membership. 

     One of our Proud Member Benefits Providers is Barnes & Noble.com and their name should be listed on the back of your membership cards. The “.com” was inadvertently left off the name, which made the listing for the retail store Barnes & Noble. This is incorrect, as our relationship is solely with the online store of BarnesandNoble.com. Please advise PTA members in your local units that they cannot receive the 5% discount at any retail store locations and they must go online to receive the discount. 

     PTA members can enter the storefront homepage at www.pta.org/barnesandnoble. By entering the storefront through the URLs, members will be required to submit a username and password (call COPTA office if you need these). Both the username and password are case-sensitive. New titles and special discounts will be featured periodically. By using this URL address, members save 5 percent on all purchases ordered from this site in addition to any normal site discounts of up to 40 percent.

     National PTA is able to partner with businesses and negotiate special discounts, fundraising opportunities, and other valuable benefits exclusively for PTA members. When you make purchases from these companies, not only will you receive a discount, but National PTA will also receive a percentage of royalties from the sale.     One of the world's largest retailers of office products has become National PTA 's first-ever Proud Community Partner. Through this momentous relationship, Office Depot is committed to supporting the important work of National PTA by sponsoring our Back-to-School efforts, including the Back-to-School Kit that was sent for the first time to all state and local unit presidents.
