Convention workshops earn 10 clock hours for teachers

This year the Colorado PTA would like to encourage Teachers (the “T” in PTA) to attend our Annual Convention. Teachers can receive “In-Service ” re-licensure credit hours by attending workshops that are relevant to their work. Workshops take place on Saturday, April 16th (see the workshop schedule).
Colorado PTA is proud to announce that Michelle Pearson, the Colorado Teacher of the Year will be the keynote speaker during lunch. The cost of this event for one day is $200.00 which includes

your certificate,
three meals,
workshops, and
the opportunity to network.

National Teacher Appreciation Week

Since 1984, PTA has designated the first full week in May as National Teacher Appreciation Week, a special time to honor the men and women who lend their passion and skills to educating our children. PTA events at the national, state, and local levels celebrate the outstanding contributions teachers make.PTA Teacher Appreciation Week 2010 will be May 2-8. Annual McDonald’s Teachers Challenge

Participating McDonald’s restaurants in Northern Colorado* are partnering with the Colorado PTA to host the “McDonald’s Teachers Challenge” during the months of October and November.
