invites the community into the classroom in support of teachers and their students. By adopting a classroom, donors form partnerships with specific classrooms providing financial and moral support. The result is a meaningful contribution to education in which donors experience the impact of their efforts and celebrate in a classroom’s success.

Elitch Gardens
Each year Colorado PTA & Elitch Gardens have teamed up for public education. BUY ONE, GET ONE FREE! Proceeds to Benefit Colorado PTA. During the month October Colorado PTA will distribute coupons for reduced price admission to the Elitch Gardens amusement park. The coupons are valid up to six tickets purchased. Colorado PTA receives $1 for every ticket purchased with the coupon. Additional coupons are available in the registration area. You can place them at work, share them with friends and family or take them to your school.

Colorado PTA schools are provided with Smile Safe cards for parents/students at no charge. Lifetouch partners with Missing and Exploited Children. American Mountaineering Museum and Alpine Club Library 
Colorado PTA Members and Partners receive special admission and group rates at the museum as well as discounts in Base Camp Adventure Gift Shop. The American Mountaineering Museum and Alpine Club Library take visitors through the historic early days of mountaineering adventure from the use of hemp rope and hob nail boots, to the high tech gear of the present day. Topics in the museum include mountaineering heroism, gear, culture, high peaks, safety, climate change, inspiration and art. All of our exhibits display eye-catching photography that draw the visitor back in time, into the future, and to the top of the world. At the center of our museum is a scale model of the Everest massif with two large screens projecting breathtaking images of high alpine peaks overhead. Along with these images are the sounds of ice axes and crampons crunching on snow and giving our visitors the ability to imagine themselves climbing their way to the summit. Jump a crevasse, climb into a port-a-ledge, and explore our interactive exhibits! The American Mountaineering Museum is a state of the art, one of a kind museum. Your adventure continues at the Alpine Club Library where you can search and research over 60,000 items devoted to alpinism, ice climbing, exploration, rock climbing, hiking and ski mountaineering. This unique facility is a wellspring of knowledge for the outdoor community, exceptional in both its dedication, to climbing craft and its devotion to patrons like you. The collection is truly extraordinary, home to some of the world’s earliest known mountaineering treasures. Panera Bread “Rising Above Award” Honoring Outstanding Teachers
Panera Bread and Colorado PTA present the annual Rising Above Award to recognize outstanding teachers in the state of Colorado. Nominations will be accepted during the month of March from students kindergarten through 12th grade. Students are asked to submit a 100-200 word essay stating why their teacher is special and deserving of the Rising Above Award. Entry forms and contest rules will be available at all 22 Panera Bread bakery-cafes located throughout the Denver Northern Colorado and Colorado Springs–areas, as well as online at www.panera-colorado.com, starting in February. Encourage your schools and kids to participate for a chance to win a grant for the school, a Panera Bread gift card for the teacher, a savings bond of the student, and much more! Winners will be announced in early April and the winning teachers and their nominating students will be invited to read their essays at the annual Colorado PTA convention. Red Robin’s Unbridled Acts of Kindness Become a Red Robin U-ACTTM Champion School

So what does ‘U-ACT” mean anyway?
Unbridled Acts – aka – random acts of kindness you bestow upon others.
Red Robin Gourmet Burgers wants to inspire and energize young people to be kind to their neighbors and award middle and junior high schools across the country for the amazing things they are doing in their schools and communities.
The 2008-2009 Red Robin U-ACT Champion Program is currently under way and we are now accepting registrations from middle and junior high schools across the country. By participating in U-ACT your schools could earn a grant from $500 to $20,000 at the end of the school year. Milford Junior High School in Milford, Ohio was the U-ACT Champion School last year for all the great things they did to promote kindness among their students. We encourage you to reach out to your middle and junior high schools and share this rewarding program. Schools can participate by registering and sharing Unbridled Acts throughout their school and community!
