2010 Teachers Challenge

The Denver Co-op partnership with the Colorado PTA continues to be strong and we are excited to continue our relationship through this highly visible community program. Information about the McDonald’s Teachers Challenge will be posted on the Colorado PTA web site at www.copta.org and we will again be gathering the names of interested PTA members at the CO PTA annual convention later this month. Falcon School District Community Conference

On April 17, Falcon School District will host a Community Engagement Conference.  They are looking for the community to work together to provide a foundation for developing steps necessary to close the achievement gap and raise expectations.  The goal is to come away with collaborative solutions to ensure every single student is performing at the highest standards within the Falcon District education system and beyond.

Come See Ben Austin at Valdez Elementary

Our third and final speaker for the “More from Our Schools” will be speaking to parents on March 4 in Northwest Denver. The speaker is Ben Austin, a member of the Los Angeles Parents Union and the founder of Parent Revolution. He will speak at Valdez Elementary school located at 2525 W. 29th Ave. in Denver from 5:30 – 7:00 pm. The event is FREE, there will be food available and free childcare is provided.
