A
One-of-a-Kind “Thank You” for Teachers
Is your
PTA
excited about the Nation’s
Largest Teacher Thank You Card? Here is your opportunity
to celebrate the teachers at your school in a BIG way.
Thousands of individual thank-you cards will be collected from
people across the nation in a joint effort with the National
Education Association (NEA) to build the Nation’s Largest
Teacher Thank You Card.
There are two easy ways to participate. From now through
Friday,
December 28, 2007
, you can thank a teacher(s)
by mailing a card to The Nation’s Largest Teacher Thank You
Card, c/o NEA/
PTA
, P.O. Box 66458, Washington,
DC 20035 (Be sure to include your name and e-mail or mailing
address, your teacher’s name, the school name, city, and
state). You can also participate by logging on to www.teacherthankyoucard.org
and sending a thank-you e-card to a teacher(s). All of the
cards will be compiled into a gigantic thank-you card that
will be unveiled in Spring 2008.

Annual McDonald's®
Teachers Challenge — October 25, 2007

Welchester Elementary participated and
won over $666 for their school at the McDonald's
Teacher's Challenge Night. Pictured from left to right are Janet
Erion, McDonald's restaurant manager, James Younger, principal of
Welchester Elmementar, and Jody Matsu, Welchester Elementary PTA
president.
Participating
McDonald’s restaurants throughout
Colorado
are partnering with
the Colorado PTA to host the “McDonald’s Teachers
Challenge” during the month of October. In October,
McDonald’s and the Colorado PTA will give you the
opportunity to raise funds for school programs, equipment or
any other special projects. Last year over $16,000 was raised
for Colorado schools!
How
does it work?
While students, parents and other school supporters are
having a great time dining at McDonald’s on a designated
night during the month of October, you and the school staff
are working behind the counter. As a bonus for your efforts,
McDonald’s will pay your school a minimum of 15% of the
sales from the night’s event. Top schools who make the most
sales during their McTeacher’s Nights will also win a bonus
prize.
McDonald’s
is committed to education, our communities and would welcome
the opportunity to work with you and your school to schedule a
McTeacher’s Night during the McDonald’s Teachers Challenge
event in October. Visit your local McDonald’s restaurant and
ask to speak to the owner or manager about this exciting event
or call McDonald’s Teachers Challenge organizer Debbie
Fitzgerald at 303-669-5323 or email at debbiesfitzgerald@yahoo.com
and she will contact a McDonald’s near you to begin the
sign-up process.
We
look forward to working with you! Thank you.
